A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Apostle Adrian Taylor, Jr. is the founding Pastor of Lighthouse Breakthrough International Ministries, also known as Lighthouse United, one of the fastest-growing churches in the Southeast Missouri region. Based in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Lighthouse United is a multiracial and multigenerational church committed to spreading a clear vision for discipleship, cultivating spiritual maturity, and bringing unity among scattered people.
Apostle Taylor boldly proclaims the Word of God with a passion to win souls, develop mature believers in Christ, and equip people to fulfill their God-given purpose.
Officially affirmed to the Apostolic ministry in 2002, Apostle Taylor is an internationally recognized and respected Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. He partners with churches, ministries, and missionary projects to bring hope and assistance to hurting people around the world.
Through his television broadcast, Faith Focus, which reaches audiences internationally, Apostle Adrian and his wife, LaKenya, teach practical biblical wisdom designed to challenge viewers to move beyond their pain, overcome fear, and become diligent stewards of their lives for the glory of God.
Apostle Taylor has also made a significant impact throughout the Cape Girardeau community. He served as the first African American President of the Cape Girardeau Ministerial Alliance. Since 2014, he has served as a Police Chaplain for the Cape Girardeau Police Department, Jackson Police Department, and Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office.
Apostle Taylor holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Covenant Bible College and Seminary and has completed his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Theology from the North Carolina College of Theology. A strong advocate for sound Christian education, Dr. Taylor served as President of the Faith Focus College of Theology, a satellite campus of the North Carolina College of Theology, until the summer of 2021.
An accomplished author, Apostle Taylor has written multiple books, including Faith Focus and Pillars of Excellence. Known for his dynamic and energetic presentation, he possesses a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His influence extends beyond the church, as he serves as a Business Consultant and is frequently invited to speak in corporate, community, and civic settings on topics such as leadership, team building, racial reconciliation, self-care, and strategic planning.
In 2019, with the blessing of his late spiritual father, Apostle Maurice K. Wright, Apostle Taylor launched the LIFE Network, a growing alliance of Five-Fold Ministry leaders, churches, and ministries. The LIFE Network exists to demonstrate that unity is more than simply a sermon topic—it is a way of life for those who follow Christ. His vision is to see leaders equipped, encouraged, and empowered to work together for the glory of God on a global scale.
Apostle Adrian Taylor, Jr. and his wife, LaKenya, are proud parents of Joshua Taylor, who began authoring books at the age of eight and has since become a published author of nine books.
